This is a Tiny BASIC version of the classic code breaking game. The computer chooses a 4-digit number composed of the digits 1-6, and you have to try to guess it in ten attempts or fewer. The computer gives you clues: a black peg for each digit you guess correctly, and a white peg for each digit you guess but put in the wrong place.

Hello, I like to search for BASIC information on Itch. I was surprised when I discovered your version of Tiny BASIC( http://tinybasic.cyningstan.org.uk/ ). The reason is that there is another version which these people discussed here:

After reading the information on your Tiny BASIC website, I realized that there were also a lot of editions of Tiny BASIC in 70's! The website is a good informative website.
Anyway, both editions are also nice and interesting. Well done!!
Thanks! Tiny BASIC is a good subject for a first attempt at an interpreter or compiler, which is why I think there are so many implementations old and new. The only disappointing thing is that there isn't a bigger library of programs for it, given that it's been around in one form or another since the 1970s. I'll go an have a look at those discussions now.
